Overview

The Peacemaker is the standard issue sidearm of the Mobile Infantry. Fast firing, with enough stopping power to make itself useful against human combatants, it is also small, light, and comes with high capacity magazines.

Flexible, but underwhelming, few troopers take the Peacemaker unless their main weapon is too specialist for general purpose use, or unless they might find themselves in close quarters fighting.

Still, its extremely light weight makes it easy to pack into a loadout.

History

The Peacemaker, like its bigger brother, the Emancipator, has been chambered in many different calibers during its lifetime. The current version has been updated to match the 10x24mm round of the Morita Mk4 for the sake of logistics, though the Peacemaker’s short barrel means it isn’t quite as efficient with its ammo as the Mk4.

The Peacemaker has always been a mainstay of the Mobile Infantry, despite its niche role on the battlefield. When a less unwieldy and obvious weapon is called for, the Peacemaker has always been just flexible enough to be the obvious choice.

Its role on the silver screen is more emphasized than its role within the mainstay of the Mobile Infantry. High surplus supply and an iconic image within the Federation ensure that the weapon is well known even amongst civilians.
