The SAW Mk3 is an electronically operated caseless light machine gun, issued to Mobile Infantry support gunners.
It provides effective covering fire and suppression to combatants and with its 300 round capacity can put down a small swarm of arachnids without a reload. The SAW also has an integrated bipod for managing its considerable recoil.
Designed as an improvement on the SAW Mk2, the Mk3 offers an overall upgrade in almost all aspects. The new SAW offered a more compact ammunition and an upgraded rate of fire while maintaining at the cost of nearly unmanageable recoil without use of a bipod.
