| Misfit's were deployed in low quantity to Planet P to serve as forward observers for tactical air assets assigned to the planet, with the intention of eliminating Arachnid reinforcements and ensuring presently fielded units do not face additional resistance.
Due to limited numbers Lance Corporal Redmond took responsibility of Drop Lead, under Technical Sergeant Vane's advisory she also operated the laser designator to direct tactical air elements in the area. Arrival was uneventful and entrenchment successful without issue. From this point communication with HIGHCOMM and Tactical Air units resulted in successful direction of CAS to the mass destruction of the Bug Horde, with an authorized TON Strike eliminating a mass clumping of tanker and plasma bugs. Once the horde was primarily decimated arachnid forces instead tried to engage the forward observers from their post. An emplaced machine gun and on call airstrikes ensured no casualties were taken. Exfiltration by air was successfully and expediously conducted. | |
