As of 2299, after years of dissent against the lack of Federal assistance, and the general mistreatment of multiple sides during the [[Civil War]], the enactment of Marshal Law had been the spark to ignite the fire. The rise of the Kredian People's Army came about, and with it began a bloody conflict between the Federation Loyalists and the KPA. Although in this fight, it seemed that the KPA held the advantage in not only numbers, but in supplies. With the world being one large black market, it would be near impossible to track any seller or buyer of arms or armor.

On April 14th, 2299, Kredia had fallen under arachnid assault. The PDF under MI Colonel Chang Zhi instated a global evacuation of the planet. PDF, with SSI forces assistance, helped in securing Valrinth's spaceport, as well as other main spaceport locations around the planet. Unfortunately, Colonel Zhi and his entire PDF force had fallen to the arachnid threat, having been able to evacuate approximately 83% of civilians recorded. The SSI seemingly vanished from existence as the last ship left the atmosphere, as their comms all went quiet. The few SSI representatives around the galaxy had also disappeared. Axis Research representatives have refused to comment on any questions regarding Kredia, or the SSI. Also, all KPA forces residing on Kredia are assumed KIA, bringing an end to the Civil War of Kredia in a rather alternative manner.

With so much smuggling and such, it makes it incredibly difficult to tell where one might have purchased something from.

Kredia is a planet in the Gliese 163 system, also called Dorado Proxima LMC due to the location in the Dorado constellation, interlapping with the Large Magellanic Cloud. Gliese 163 is a red dwarf located 49 light years (15.0pc) from the sun, in the constellation Dorado. Kredia's surface is covered to 42% by water, another 25% of ice are evenly split between the poles. Kredia has two moons, Stellesi and Varath.

History[edit | edit source]

The history of Kredia began with the settlement of the first colony Valrinth, now the planet's capital. This occurred in the year of 2198, and was financed by multiple mining companies. For the first twenty-five years, Kredia turned out incredible profits due to the large deposits of Iron and Platinum found on the planet. Also, over time, archeologists discovered hundreds of thousands of rather ancient Skinnie settlements, dating far before the Federation's own arrival on the planet. Temples, settlements, and burial grounds were all discovered, most of them below ground. This led to the building of many research facilities planetside in order to better understand the history of the Skinnie Hegemony.

Beginning in the later part of 2255, the weather on the planet began shifting for the worse, and storms began to become common place. Over time, these storms became more and more violent, forcing most of the population that were unwilling, or unable to leave the planet to stay underground. Exports of materials halted, and thus began a new era for the planet. No longer did the Federation have a hold over Kredia, but now it seemed to be run by an organization of smugglers and pirates known as 'Epsilon Aurora'. While not inherently hostile to the Federation, they are assumed to be responsible for the 'theft' of 8.6 billion pounds worth of Federation supplies, and an indeterminable amount of supplies from private companies.

Now, the only places where a Federal presence lay were in the frozen poles. In these desolate areas were placed multiple research facilities. While they're purposes were made classified, they continue to run to this day. With a lack of Federation troopers to look over these facilities, the Federation turned to a number of Security Corporations, most notable being the company SSI, or otherwise known as SilStar Industries, to defend these bases. As of recent, though, most Federation facilities have been outfitted with a Federally owned Task Force, due to relations with SSI being quite strained.

During the Progenitor Invasion of the Sol System and the colonies of the Federation, Kredia was one of the few that were protected by it's least appealing trait. The large storms that covered the surface of the planet blocked off the chance for Progenitors to even land on the planet, thus protecting it's inhabitants at the same time.

As of 2299, after years of dissent against the lack of Federal assistance, and the general mistreatment of multiple sides during the Civil War, the enactment of Marshal Law had been the spark to ignite the fire.

Culture[edit | edit source]

Majority of the population is made up of Eastern European descendants. The languages of Romainian, Serbian, and other Eastern and Northern European ones all seem to have fostered the language plainly referred to as 'Kredian'. A small minority of middle eastern-descendants reside in the southern sectors of the planet, closer to the capital of Valrinth than any other city.

In the southern regions of the planet, the religion of 'Tauikism' is the predominant belief. It is most closely related to Judaism, as well as Taoism. It seems to be based off of the rather anomalous nature of the planet, as well as old folklore from Terra itself.

In the northern regions, there seems to be no real religious presence.

Pirates make up a large number of the occupants on the planet, with most of the ‘home-bases’ being located in underground areas.

Kredians themselves are known for being adaptive, hardy individuals. They value self-worth through merit, and hold a rather nationalistic pride to their own planet; despite all odds. On the other hand, they are described as 'independent, paranoid people', and are prone to back a Kredian before anyone else.

Factions:[edit | edit source]

  • Kredian People’s Army - A group of separatists who came to fruition after the failed enacting of Marshal Law on the planet. With most of the population either being pirates, or those the pirates terrorize, the KPA are keen on uniting all of Kredia, and forming their own government. No Pirates, no Federation, just themselves. Popular among your everyday person. It is still unknown who arms them, but they receive fairly decent supplies, it seems. Not much else is known about them due to their secretive nature, as well as the strained tensions between them and the Federation. In this phase of the war, they are considered a potential ally in the fight against the KPA.

Economy[edit | edit source]

The Economy of Kredia is virtually one massive black market. Illegal weapons and munitions are a hot trade on this planet, and all of it is nearly completely untraceable. Many anonymous buyers come to Kredia in order to purchase anything from drugs, to exotics, to outdated Federation equipment.

The only major industry on the planet is the Kredian Arms Manufacturer. They are known to provide firearms for far-reach colonies outside of the Federation's protective grasp, and are rumored to supply the highest bidder with whatever arms they so please. With estimates of roughly 260k employees, KAM is the largest employer in all of Gliese 163.

Laws and Government[edit | edit source]

Little to no Federation control. Considered a lawless wasteland by most. The only semblance of a 'law' is the PMC organization SSI, or SilStar Industries. They are a mercenary security organization that seem to have their own agenda, hidden from everyone, including the Federation. They mostly work as a protection agency for the Private Research Corporation known as 'Axis Research'. Other than that, SSI seems to be in constant battle with the KPA, as well as local religious cults, mostly circling around crashed Progenitor technology.

The world is essentially one massive Black Market, with little regulation set in place.

Both poles are the only places where the Federation has a foothold, with secluded research facilities dotting the areas.

Points of Interest[edit | edit source]

There are very many archaeological sites on the planet, most from previous skinnie settlements from almost centuries ago.

The majority of forests are boreal type, and thickly coated mammals inhabiting them.

Two main spaceports: Gallagher Spaceport, Hellensdottir Spaceport

Tier 5 storms covering the majority of the planet. Poles and center strip are only ones not exposed. These storms have the potential to flatten cities, and alter entire landscapes with incredibly powerful windspeeds. This has forced most of the population not located in the poles or in the center strip to relocate underground. The storm seasons usually last starting from fall to summer, taking up three quarters out of the year. Due to this, agriculture is near nonexistent on this planet. As of recent, it seems that the storm season has been delayed, or is somehow out of balance, seeing as storms were scheduled to begin appearing starting in winter of 2298, yet no signs of formations have occurred.

There are a numerous amounts of both Federation and Privately-owned research bases located within the ice-covered poles of the planet.
