Patient was hit in the arm by shrapnel from an explosion. The majority of the shrapnel was small in size, the largest being three centimetres. Approximately 8 pieces noted in total. |
| Treatment | Patient's wound rinsed and cleansed using saline wash and then secured loosely with a bandage to prevent infection. This was also done to secure the shrapnel without causing further injury. |
