Patient's right forearm was swiped by a Warrior talon, resulting in shattered ulna and radius bones and critical haemorrhaging. The arm was nearly severed. |
| Treatment | 1. Tourniquet above wound to control bleeding.
2. Bleeding further controlled by darpafoam and haemostatic gauze. Desired effect achieved. 3. Fracture stabilised using a splint. No time to use exo-sleeve or anything else. Standard dose of ketamine administered. 4. Blood transfusion followed by MEDEVAC. |
