Patient was shot in the chest while leading the platoon. The bullet was stopped, but it shattered a rib in their left side and caused internal damage. Tension pneumothorax (left collapsed lung) noted and severe bruising on their left side. |
| Treatment | Needle decompression administered on the patient's left side. Catheter and air tube installed to relieve pressure and collapsed lung. Patient evacuated shortly thereafter. |
