Details	Operation Dead Fever Patient was found by attending medic with a left leg missing, apparently torn off by the mandibles of an Arachnid. Patient conscious and awake, but otherwise in shock and rapidly loosing blood.
Treatment	The patient's bleeding was controlled by the rapid application of a combat tourniquet, followed by the administration of TXA via intramuscular injection above the point where the leg was severed. The stump was sprayed with darpafoam and subsequently bandaged in haemostatic gauze. A blood transfusion was performed and the patient was thereafter medically evacuated. The leg was not found.
