Tango Urilla: Operation Alamo

Two hours after the bug offensive on Tango Urilla, First platoon deployed to support the PDF holding a town. After fighting there and pulling East to an FOB Private Schmeller was injured and refused to board MEDEVAC. He was KIA on the way to the FOB. Once they entered First platoon held their ground for tens of minutes repulsing the bug onslaught. Plasma activity picked up in our AO and Lieutenant Gunn landed to take over. First platoon headed north to eliminate the plasma. It turned out to be a trap and First platoon was soon surrounded and started taking massive casualties. Lieutenant Gunn was among the injured. First platoon made a stop at a set of grain silos and held their ground. Taking on more casualties. There wasn't a trooper without some type of injury. Each squad was down about 50% of their manpower. Once PFC Kozak called in artillery support, First platoon made their way to the FOB where they held for the rest of their mission. Still taking on casualties.

Warrant Officer VonBattersea fired off a TON. The resulting blast resulted in two KIA from bravo and a multitude of troopers critically wounded. Bravo was reduced to a three man fire team and Alpha had their numbers reduced as well.

Sergeant Na-Rae, Warrant Officer VonBattersea, and Chief Warrent Officer Gibbons were detained on dereliction of duty.

Three KIA. Platoon effectiveness about 30% remaining

Tango Urilla: Operation Backwood Hike

Squad was dropped down to preform reconnaissance on a refinery and assess damage. Highlanders landed and proceeded on foot into refinery. Making contact with three times buggies and an unknown amount of armed looters. The infantry entered into the refinery and went as deep as possible before encountering mass amounts of flooding and eroded equipment. The refinery was unrecoverable. After securing one of the looters (Dak) they had the man lead them deeper to a flooded stair case. Sergeant Nafiev entered the water hole and soon after two troopers followed. Unbeknownst to the squad he encounter a tiger that could swim. Lance Corporal Keller led the rest of the squad to an easier entrance after about three minutes of arguing. Nafiev was critically wounded and a medic was wounded as well. Keller called for a general evac immediately after killing the water tiger.

The refinery is a death trap.

Highlanders landed at the outpost. After setting up defenses, Alpha was ordered to stir up the hive. After a few prodding assaults, Chief Warrant Officer Mack Prescott was able to attract a "Chariot" bug, which was promptly killed, and resulted in a full-force assault on the Highlanders. Highlanders stood their ground, took minimal casualties, and fragged a lot of bugs.

After dropping, Highlander One made its way down a tunnel leading into a valley. While fighting their way through the valley to the dam, Third Specialist Doug Hapam was KIA. Dougherty called in an airstrike on the southern flank of the platoon to give breathing room, and the Highlanders made their march down to the dam. Clearing a hive in the dam, MOBCOM informed Highlander One to nuke it, in which Warrant Officer Elisabeth VonBattersea planted a DOTON. Highlander One promptly withdrew back into the valley, blowing the dam, and moving down another tunnel way to the LZ.

Tango Urilla: Operation Sandy Cheeks

Highlanders' Viking was taken out by a plasma bug, but they recovered and were miraculously unhurt. They fought their way to the FOB, where they secured it and called in ammo resupplies. After holding for a moment, they were notified of a position being overrun in a town close by. Bravo was designated to move out, but found that the town was already overrun and all Troopers dead. Bravo had to fix generators in order to get the computers systems working again to extract the data. After extracting the data, Bravo RTBed. During Bravo's exodus, the arachnids were able to open a hole in one of the FOB's walls. Shortly after Bravo returned, Highlanders received a distress call from a convoy. Alpha was designated to retrieve the survivors, which included an IFV and two Troopers. Alpha RTBed without incident. Highlanders held the FOB, and were shortly relieved from their positions.

Tango Urilla: Operation Backhand

First Platoon was deployed to secure a fallen Federation Airbase in the Northern hemisphere of Tango Urilla. Enduring the fiercest engagement singe Klendathu, the platoon fought its way to the airbase and held. On the way to the Airfield, Recruit Carter was hit by friendly rounds while out of position, and killed in action. While holding they were tasked with retrieving a hard-drive from a nearby abandoned bunker, containing Seismic readouts of the bug movements. Bravo went to claim the prize, while Alpha remained to hold the airbase. While holding, PFC. Cobb laid down his life to buy time for Alpha, who were being overwhelmed. Upon retrieving the hard drive, Bravo began the trek back to the Airbase. While enroute, the squad was ambushed by a Tanker. Private Wright was killed. Bravo squad managed to make it back to the airfield, and first platoon fought off the remainder of the bugs before extracting.

Shoreridge Station • December 28, 2320 • Alexander M. Gunn (500150)
Uprising on Shoreridge Station

First platoon was deployed to assist PDF forces in bringing order to Shoreridge station, which was undergoing an upheaval of unrest. First platoon deployed with a strict ROE and weapons unloaded. Immediately we saw the brutality of the PDF. Their attempts to brute force the population into subjugation would have only worsened the situation overall, and through the efforts of Corporal Nafiev and his Alpha squad, we were able to locate the source of the issue. A faction of the PDF, under Captain Rogozhin, had kept a recent food shipment for themselves. The PDF responsible reacted violently, and in the ensuing station-wide firefight, several troopers of First Platoon were wounded. Dozens of traitorous PDF were killed, and multiple IFV's destroyed. The end of the tension came when three captured troopers, two of whom were severely wounded, were rescued by a two-pronged assault which devastated the traitors. The few surviving traitors were given the only mercy befitting their crime, a quick death. With the food supplies now opened, the people were fed and the traitorous PDF were gone. The remaining PDF who had surrendered were put in their place, and shown what happens to those who betray the Federation.

Recon mission ran afoul after coming into contact with a patrol. After sealing two large tanker holes, a few small holes, and noting down various inactive holes, the platoon moved towards a factory to check it out. At this point, there was heavy contact and the troopers were running out of ammo. Geared on a resupply, Troopers were given a brief respite before coming into a canyon, where they were immediately flooded in a pincer attack by the bugs. The Highlanders had to fight their way every step to the LZ.

Operation Red River

Deployed to act as the end point of a funnel operation to kill as many Arachnids as possible. Had to rescue a squad of people that went down with a crashed dropship mid-operation, which was successful albeit very dangerous. We held at an FOB much akin to a Castle without much hassle, facing endless waves of Arachnids before departing back home.

Tango Urilla: Operation Squirming Squirrel

After landing on the planet with only six men, the infantry swiftly moved to defend the local settlement. After taking the settlement, they used emplacements to shred wave after wave of Arachnid. MOBCOMM requested that the MI use a seismic reader on a structure to the east of the settlement. After moving to the settlement and setting up the reader, the infantry held their position until it was completed. At this point, the MI had three grievously wounded casualties, everyone else was walking wounded. Dougherty called in advancing TAC strikes to keep as many arachnids off the group as they moved, due to all of them carrying wounded. Taking light arachnid contact, the group was able to move to an outpost to the north of the structure where Viking was able to pick them up.

The fleet bombing proved ineffective, forcing First Platoon to fight through thousands of bugs ranging from brown carapaced warriors, to black carapaced elites. Regardless, the Highlanders came out on top with only one TON incident and no casualties.

The Mobile Infantry were deployed to a mining village under threat of Arachnid attack to oversee an evacuation. Bravo oversaw the general evacuation within the town proper, defending it from bug skirmishes and evacuating the large group of the population.

Elsewhere, Alpha set off and scouted a nearby settlement. They discovered that the settlement was abandoned. As this was happening, a currently unknown and unidentified psychic force attacked the unit. They briefly compromised CWO Mack Prescott, leading to a heavily injured medic. As the psychic attacks increased in intensity, I ordered a general evacuation of the ship.
