Report
Misfit was deployed to the planet to take on a hopper nest. Due to the amount of hostile air in the AO, Misfit was inserted five clicks from the eventual nest location. At the time, Sergeant Cortell was drop leading.Misfit proceeded on towards the suspect nest lcoation on foot.

After about two clicks Misfit was provided a Sarissa, Eagle Two for use in the AO to help stem the oncoming horde. The Sarissa arrived alongside Staff Sergeant Hyde and the team continued on. Pinkerton was the operator of the Sarissa however after a mere few minutes, it was lost and abandoned. Misfit once again proceeding on foot.

As Misfit was proceeding out of this sector of the AO, Lance Corporal Pinkerton was impaled by three barbs from a cliffmite. One of them, impaled his neck. Technical Sergeant Vane was able to assist him and Specialist Vinson helped provide effective respirations. Pinkerton was then Medevac'd as Misfit continued on to the next sector.

In this sector, Misfit proceeded to the Dam which held the suspected Hopper nest. It was confirmed upon arrival that the hopper nest was indeed inside of the dam. The team arrived and found one of the main tunnel shafts inside the dam's control room. Staff Sergeant Hyde and Technical Sergeant Vane stayed behind to geonav a TON into the nest while the rest of the team got out of the blast zone.

Hyde and Vane proceeded back to the rest of the team as the Geonav made it's way into the tunnels. Soon enough it detonated, the entire team was alive as the dam started to collapse and the tunnels below it no doubt flooding.

It was at this point, both psychics present for the operation came under attack by the psychic bug. Attempts were made to assist them but it seemed fruitless. The medics were evacuated and the rest of the team proceeded on with the new tasking of locating and reporting the location of the psychic bug.

Misfit continued on and took out some plasma remaning in the AO. Soon after, the psychic bug was spotted. It's position was reported and Misfit was tasked to proceed on. Moving to the next sector, Misfit took more losses. Both Staff Sergeant Hyde and Sergeant Cortell got wounded and needed to be Medevac'd.

After that Medevac. Technical Sergeant Vane took over as drop lead. Leading a five man pathfinder unit to a secluded bunker and being instructed to hold that location until Mobile Infantry units could complete objectives and exfil. The bunker was defended valiantly by the troopers present, unfortunately Private First Class Tent was critically wounded with an impalement and internal arterial bleed. He was made stable, placed on an IV.

When Evac eventually arrived, Misfit decided against a roof top extraction due to having to move wounded and the presence of hoppers and cliff mites in the AO. They proceeded down into underground tunnels with no idea of the layout of said tunnels. Eventually coming to a large hangar.

Within the hangar, Misfit held off arachnid attack as Lance Corporal Tanaka opened up the large hangar door. Eventuallyt, Misfit could evacuate. Medbay full.
