Operation: Blood Thicker than Water

Gladiator deployed near a bug hive and fought tooth and nail to push through the mountain range. Calling in plenty of artillery strikes and with support of Dagger-1 they pushed through taking minimal casualties. Petrov showed excellence in combat knowledge with his usage of the flame thrower attachment. Dagger-1 eventually crashed due to hopper interceptors. Gladiator moved in to recover and EVAC the pilot. Gladiator was given a choice to pull out but refused and pushed onwards into the hive. Placing two DOTONs and clearing half the hive out with rifle fire alone. Roberts showed excellence in his usage of the M55. Taking out swaths of Plasma and Tanker bugs. Requiring three separate resupplies for his M55 usage alone.

Gladiator placed their DOTONs and ex-filled. A successful detonation of a hive.

Operation Blue Forest

We dropped in to route out and destroy bug holes. So that's what we did. We killed a lot of bugs. And then I decided there was too many bugs for us to handle as a small unit. So we fired a TON to the South east, south west. Then got moving and we fired another TON to the south, and blew them motherfuckers up good and proper, yer.

Chastrilles • January 23, 2321 •
Intelligent Intelligence

Gladiators was sent out to retrieve research for MOBCOMM on the planet of Chastrilles. Due to lower numbers, a single element was formed directly under my command.

Upon arrival to the first bunker, Gladiators found that the MI garrison that had previously manned it was already KIA. Specialist Ramsey collected the tags and we proceeded down into the bunker.

Once Gladiators arrived to the other end of the tunnel, the plasmas were using a small town for cover in a valley. Once the plasmas were all killed, Gladiators continued West until we reached an abandoned MI Checkpoint while still fighting off the warriors.

Entering into a darker valley, the bugs made use of having the elevated terrain on either side of us. Gladiators kept firing on the move and punched a hole through the bugs before a massive wave of warriors began to give chase.

Once we made it out of the valley, Gladiators were updated with markers on the position of the research facility we were intended to search.

Once Gladiators arrived, we found a hole in the floor that gave access to the basement and proceeded down towards the lab. Minor contact was made. Eventually all of the dossiers were retrieved and we were clear to continue on.

It was here that we found the facility was largely compromised with a vast bug tunnel network already dug into it. The final file was taken and we rushed out due to being low on ammo and a big wave incoming.

Operation Donkey Punch: Day 7

Gladiators deployed from the FOB towards the main hive of the arachnids. Proceed in bugs seemed unusally passive. Ignoring us most of the time. We proceeded on, later discovering that the bugs were being influenced and aware of our presence. It was a trap.

While down there we encountered a weird bug with eight eyes and a "Vagina mouth" as was described. Upon discovering the trap, arachnid presence intensified and they had started the process of destroying eggs. The Gladiators continued into the tunnels and claimed some undamaged eggs. Four in total. Upon arrival back at the Hiroo Onoda, three were turned over to Military Intelligence, intact.

The bug mentioned was recorded by Leeson and Kerala.

Operation Donkey Punch: Day 5

The FOB came under heavy attack by accurate, indirect fire from arachnid plasma batteries. Due to the sheer number of plasma in the AO, Fleet were unable to get air support or Medevac to the FOB location. Due to lack of other NCOs at the time and the base being in poor condition, Gladiators contacted MOBCOMM and a plan was formed for the Gladiators to push out and take out the plasma in our sector of the AO.

Fleet eventually managed to find a pilot willing to fly the dropship to the location. We took the dropship along with one Eagle IFV to the area the Plasma were in. Once landed, Alpha formed a perimeter and Cortés used her talents to locate the first group of plasma, we got visual reference for location later as we saw plasma entering the sky.

Alpha proceeded slowly to the first location, working cohesively under the control of Lance Corporal Kerala. Assisted by the IFV. The Command element, made up of myself and the late arrival of Sergeant Keller kept an eye on the situation.

We found the first plasma up on a ridgeline, we engaged it with the IFV and eventually, the ATGMs and bullets from the vehicle took it down. With that success under our belt. We continued along this ridgeline, closing bug holes as we moved. Eventually we spotted a second set of plasma, there were tucked away behind a depression in the terrain, Roberts, who was driving the IFV was once more able to eliminate these plasma.

The final set of plasma could then be seen, far off to our north east. The decision was made to lob a ton over a mountain and airburst it. Roberts was the one to do this yet again, successfully taking out the plasma.

Contact was then made over LRR by a callsign, Saviour One Three. Informing us of a "Large bug" they were attempting to track and eliminate. Soon enough, we found out exactly what that bug was. A huge plasma, bigger than any bug I'd ever seen personally emerged from the ground.

Gladiators made the decision to pull the troopers back to safe distance so we could deploy a TON. Roberts deployed the TON, landing a hit but it did very little to the plasma, merely wounding it. With assistance from Saviour One Three they were able to GEONAV a TON to the location and this one managed to take it out thanks to Roberts weakening it.

At that point, MOBCOMM Informed the AO was clear and a dropship was deployed to take us back to the FOB

Operation Donkey Punch: Bug Mountain Offensive

The gladiators were tasked with the seizure of an airfield and an offensive on the bug flank. The Gladiators flew as close as possible on a sky hook and began their march towards the air field. An attempt to cross a bridge failed when they encountered the main force of bugs and were forced to pull back. Blowing the bridge in the process. The Gladiators were forced to take the long way around, Roberts utilized his M55 expertly and ultimately ran out of ammo, 40mms are an effective tactic against bug holes. Would recommend in the future to save HEAT ammo. The gladiators crossed a second bridge and eliminated two plasma batteries. Then they pushed to the airfield and took control. Private Ben Aitkenson, with no regard to his own saftey, rushed forwards to climb an MG tower and lay waste to the bugs. Covering the entire platoon as they rushed into the air field. Bugs hot on their heels. Giving the platoon the brief respite that they needed to get entrenched. Supplies and reinforcements were called in.

The second phase of the operation begins. Though interrupted by new plasma batteries on top of a mountain. A mobile Infantry platoon - Callsign Iron Wheel - was pushed back off the mountain and taking heavy casualties. Gladiators pushed in with two IFVs and an MBT. They pushed up the mountain under heavy bug assaults. Literally and metaphorically fighting an uphill battle. Total plasma battery kill count on the mountain is six. Once the plasma was cleared, Gladiators came under heavy assault and was saved by Dagger-1 Hiroo Onadas Aviation's wing.

The Gladiators pushed back down the path and relieved the air field once again from a counter offensive from the bugs. They held and Private Cortell was critically wounded. However, the bugs retreated and the airfield was secured. Mission Success.

Operation Donkey Punch: Opening Offensive

First Platoon was sent in for the first wave assault on the Pole of Denebola. Shot down by plasma, the platoon was forced to hike roughly twenty kilometers through a bug infested winter wasteland. The going was tough, and they had no LRR contact with the rest of the Company. In the end the bugs weren't up to the challenge, and First Platoon made it to their FOB. Menelaus. Here they will remain for the duration of the operations on Denebola.

Operation Asimov

Gladiator's were dropped to the ground and had two objectives. Main objective was [XXXXXXXXXX] Secondary objective was the evacuation of civilian forces. The infantry moved with purpose and efficiency. Reaching the civilian encampment and evacuating them without much difficulty. On the way to the Main Objective the Gladiators came into contact with heavy Plasma and Tanker contact. Mounting a fighting retreat they made their way to the objective and retreated underground where they made contact with the objective. Once ready the Infantry pushed back to the surface in a daring push and made for the roof where they held off waves of Heavy Caste bugs and hopper incursions. Once the skies were clear EVAC was called. Outstanding performance.

Operation Big Burger

Federation forces on planet have been pushed back and the entire planet was under Evacuation orders. Highlanders dropped down to secure a Beach head for further operations.

The LZ was a straight drop from water and about a 50 yard drop into the sea. The highlanders assaulted the beach and took few casualties. Pushing forward to secure a hill Keller called in the first of many TONs south east. Took a few wounded as Roberts took out several bug holes with utmost competency and EVAC was called on the hanger designated as the new FOB. Pushing towards the hanger a few more casualties were gained and the bug onslaught continued. Staff Sergeant Dougherty gave out proper warnings and followed procedures to notify any MI and pilots in the area of a TON going off in the south. The MEDEVAC did not heed the warnings and was grounded. The MI continued to the FOB and cleared it of holes outside and inside. Staff Sergeant Dougherty put himself at risk to close the bug holes inside with a few hand grenades. Supplies, ammo, and another MEDEVAC was called while the MI set up the new FOB with great success.

The Highlanders moved to search and rescue operations to collect the crashed MEDEVAC. However, the crew was dead on impact. The Highlanders soon Evacuated.

We made it to the outskirts of the town, where we took two miniscule FOBs, and held against heavy Arachnid assaults. Multiple TONs and artillery barrages were launched, but the Arachnids kept coming. In the conflict, MSpc. Vernon 'Fraggery' Ryker unfortunately met his end at the hands of a hopper.

We evacuated shortly after, firing a third TON to cover our evacuation.

Operation: Bladed Wing

The heroes of the Gladiators were deployed to Vephinius III in order to secure a fallen spy-satellite's blackbox, the contents of which being crucial to the ongoing planetary operations. Touching down inside a PDF base, the platoon pushed out to secure a nearby damaged transponder beacon- The local PDF having tried and failed to secure it earlier with a platoon sized element of their own. Once the beacon was secure, the Gladiators were able to advance on the fallen Satellite with the added bonus of air cover. The fighting was fierce, but the bugs were no match. The blackbox was secured, and First Platoon was able to fight their way back to the PDF castle, which they held until extract arrived. Another few thousand dead bugs added to the tally of the Gunn's Gladiators.

Utilising their superior skills in urban navigation and their penchant for violence, the Gladiators succesfully fight their way to three successive AA emplacements, in order to provide cover to the civilian evacuation efforts ongoing on the planet. Whilst taking heavy fire, no one died, whilst three TONs were detonated to maximise bug casulties in the AO.

Vephinus III • January 04, 2321 •
Operation: Coyote Dropkick

The Gladiators were dropped on Vephinus III with 18 troopers and told to hold two bridges, shortly after establishing prefab defenses on the bridges the Arachnids began their offense, Alpha squad was almost immediately crippled with their Lead and 2IC being seriously wounded almost immediately.

After approximately 30 minutes after initial engagement, Alpha's lines began to collapse, in spite of the chaotic situation, Alpha was able to organize a successful retreat, suffering no casualties during the retreat and making their way to the crossroads connecting Alpha and Bravo's positions together.

Despite this successful retreat, the Arachnid presence was too great for Bravo to hold and by the time Alpha had made it to the intersection, Bravo's lines were also in total collapse after suffering increasingly large waves of Arachnids and sustaining multiple critically wounded.

The Gladiators were pushed back to the LZ and after a brief attempt at final defensive line around the LZ, we were forced to evacuate

After fighting there and pulling East to an FOB Private Schmeller was injured and refused to board MEDEVAC. He was KIA on the way to the FOB. Once they entered First platoon held their ground for tens of minutes repulsing the bug onslaught. Plasma activity picked up in our AO and Lieutenant Gunn landed to take over. First platoon headed north to eliminate the plasma. It turned out to be a trap and First platoon was soon surrounded and started taking massive casualties. Lieutenant Gunn was among the injured. First platoon made a stop at a set of grain silos and held their ground. Taking on more casualties. There wasn't a trooper without some type of injury. Each squad was down about 50% of their manpower. Once PFC Kozak called in artillery support, First platoon made their way to the FOB where they held for the rest of their mission. Still taking on casualties.

Warrant Officer VonBattersea fired off a TON. The resulting blast resulted in two KIA from bravo and a multitude of troopers critically wounded. Bravo was reduced to a three man fire team and Alpha had their numbers reduced as well.

First platoon was deployed to assist PDF forces in bringing order to Shoreridge station, which was undergoing an upheaval of unrest. First platoon deployed with a strict ROE and weapons unloaded. Immediately we saw the brutality of the PDF. Their attempts to brute force the population into subjugation would have only worsened the situation overall, and through the efforts of Corporal Nafiev and his Alpha squad, we were able to locate the source of the issue. A faction of the PDF, under Captain Rogozhin, had kept a recent food shipment for themselves. The PDF responsible reacted violently, and in the ensuing station-wide firefight, several troopers of First Platoon were wounded. Dozens of traitorous PDF were killed, and multiple IFV's destroyed. The end of the tension came when three captured troopers, two of whom were severely wounded, were rescued by a two-pronged assault which devastated the traitors. The few surviving traitors were given the only mercy befitting their crime, a quick death. With the food supplies now opened, the people were fed and the traitorous PDF were gone. The remaining PDF who had surrendered were put in their place, and shown what happens to those who betray the Federation.
